3-Tier Dynamic Sharding System
TBURN's sharding architecture splits the network into 7 parallel execution shards, each processing transactions independently for linear throughput scaling. Network total TPS is the sum of individual shard TPS.
- Shard count: floor(validators / 16) — currently 7 shards
- Validators per shard: 16 with BFT quorum of 11
- 5-lane parallel execution: Express, Fast, Standard, Complex, Priority
- Circuit breakers active on all shards
- EWMA load prediction (α=0.3) for adaptive scaling
Cross-Shard Communication
4-level priority queue cross-shard router with WAL-backed atomicity via 2PC protocol. Cross-shard overhead is maintained at 15%.
